Function of Moisturiser

Dry Skin- Moisturiser can get rid of cracks and flakes. 

Oily Skin- Need to use moisturiser to avoid over oil producing.


The function of moisturiser will keep the skin hydrated by replenish the moisture.  When aging process occur, oil-producing glands in the skin were reduced causing the skin dried out and more prone to damage. Moisturiser help reverse this process by locking in water and replenishing skin protective barrier.

Moisturiser should contain three types of ingredients which are humectants, emollients and occlusive.

Humectantpull moisture from the air into the upper layer of your skin

Emollients- fill cracks in the epidermis and seal in moisture.

Occlusiveform a protective barrier over your skin to stop it from losing moisture (can clog pores).
